Because of this, there are two other beautiful baseball stadiums in the city of Williamsport (besides this Historic Bowman Field shown above) which are dedicated to the Little League World Series:
Historic
Lamade Stadium where the Little League World Series has taken place since 1959 and the newer Volunteer Stadium... which was built in 2001 to handle the many playoff games between all the Regional Championship winners of the Little Leagues.
The original ballpark which the Little League World Series was played in before 1959 still exists as well...
Carl E. Stotz Field @ Memorial Park which looks much like it did when it opened in 1939. This little ballpark was home for 2 decades to the Little League World Series before it became such a monumental event and had to be moved to the much much larger Lamade Stadium.
