Dwyer Stadium II Batavia New York Home of the Batavia Muckdogs NY-Penn League (Short Season Single-A) |
At the plate, the Muckdogs provided some punch as future Minnesota Twins Nick Punto
(.247) provided a fine glove while taking over the stolen base title of 19 at
Dwyer Stadium II, while future Phillies/Indians OF Jason Michaels provided the
pop with 11 HRs, and Carlos Duncan was steady all season with a Dwyer Stadium
II record 23 doubles and a .264 batting average. While their 43-33 (.566) record
was strong, they couldn’t make it past the 1st round of the playoffs. They would
need to regroup and try again in 1999. |
