As of 2010, 25 baseball teams have called beautiful Victoria home since 1896. Recreation
Park was home to the Bees and Islanders until 1921. After that, Royal Athletic
Park was where the Western International League (now known as the Northwest
League) played all of their games. The Victoria Athletics (a New York Yankees
franchise) and the Tyrees called this ballfield home, and it made a very good
home for baseball until 1964. |
