Pioneer Park served a different type of role for Minor League Baseball. It was never the star, but it did serve as a short term home for almost a decade of Minor League and independent minor baseball, including a farm club for the New York Mets. It was also a secondary home to the new Western Baseball League as the Gray's Harbor Gulls became one of the inaugural teams of the new WBL, and remained that way for 3 1/2 years. For more information on the actual players and the teams that utilized this ballpark, check Hoquiam's Olympic Stadium gallery which goes into the full detail of every team that played in this ballpark. Thanks to Gord Brown for his research in discovering this ballpark.
