Olympic Stadium is the only stadium bearing that moniker that has never had anything to do with the Olympic Games. Olympic Stadium is fact, named for the Olympic Peninsula that is home to northern cities of Grays Harbor including Hoquiam and Aberdeen as well as the Olympic National Park (the largest Rainforest in the United States) and Mount Olympus... the tallest mountain in the Olympic Mountain range with an elevation of almost 8000 feet.
