Former home of the Gray's Harbor Ports
Loggers & Gulls
The Grays Harbor Ports were gone by 1977 and replaced by the Grays Harbor Loggers. The Loggers were again an independent co-op team playing in the Single-A Northwest League and we're not really sure if there was actually any difference between the Ports and the Loggers besides the name change. Hitting wise however, the difference was huge. There was actually some pretty good talent on this ballclub... at the plate... and even less on the mound. After having their biggest power hitter hit only 4 homers all season in 1976, the Loggers had some moster hitters in comparison. Juan Delgado was the star of the show with 18 2Bs, 16 HRs, 49 RBI's and a .313 batting average... quite impressive actually.
