Hitting wise, well... not much to discuss. Craig Deardorff was the best hitter batting .291 which led the team along with 4 homers (also leading the team) and 17 doubles (ditto). That was about the only point of interest. There were some hitters between .270 and .280 and even more between .206 and .237... much more. At the gate, the ports drew 28,000... good for 4th in the league of 7 teams, which was a pretty good showing considering. The 26-46 record was actually not the worst in the league as the Ports finished 1976 in 6th place.
