As for the pitching, Danny Miller was 5-5 with a 4.84 ERA. That was as good as the rotation got. Jim Patterson went 5-11 with a 5.25 ERA, Tyson Godfrey was 4-5 with a 6.99, Mark Borcherding was 5-8 with a 6.63, Brandon Bluhm (2-3, 7.46) and Richard Talbott (2-6, 4.71) unsuccessfully held up the rear. Closer Greg Sprinkle (5-1, 2.19) was the only successful pitcher on the team. The Gulls finished in last place going 31-59 (.344). Despite the miserable showing on the field, Gray's Harbor was so excited to have a baseball again that an astonishing 82,450 people came to see the Gulls play baseball... easily beating the attendance of the entire 5 year history of the Loggers/Mets/Ports' attendance combined! The Gulls may hae been in last place but they were a tremendous success.
