Olympic Stadium would go dark to professional baseball for 15 years... returning to its roots hosting amateur and scholastic baseball and football. It wasn't until the new Western Baserball League was established in the area that Olympic Stadium would be in the spotlight again. The WBL was a new and independent baseball league established in 1995 with two divisions... the "South" would feature 4 teams in California, while the "North" would feature 4 teams in the Pacific Northwest (including Bend Oregon, Surrey British Columbia and the tri-cities of Kennewick / Pasco / Richland Washington ). The final team would be the Gray's Harbor Gulls which would play the bulk of their games at Hoquiam's Olympic Stadium and the rest at Pioneer Park in Aberdeen.
