The creation of Everett Memorial Stadium in 1984 brought baseball back to Everett Washington for the first time since 1905 when the Everett Smokestackers played for the Northwestern League. This ballpark is created mostly out of aluminum which was certainly the building material of choice for baseball stadiums in the United States during the 1980's. (See Alexandria VA's Pfitzner Stadium, San Bernadino's Fiscalini Field, Harrisburg PA's Riverside Stadium, Tulsa OK's Drillers Stadium, Madison WI's Warner
Park, Albany NY's Heritage Park, New Britain CT's Beehive Field, Glen Falls NY's East Field  Fayetteville NC's J.P. Riddle Stadium... just a few 80's built ballparks made almost completely out of aluminum, to name a very small few).
