Both the Big South League (1996) and the Heartland League (1997) utilized this ballpark for a season and both teams played under the moniker of the "Clarksville Coyotes". The Big South League existed for only two seasons, folding after the 1997 season. The Coyotes jumped ship before this happened (sensing impending doom) to the Heartland League where they played the 1997 season out before being dropped from that roster, officially ending professional baseball at this complex. The Heartland League itself folded after the 1998 season after a 3 year run. Out of its ashes however rose the highly successful (and still thriving) Frontier League.
