In recent years, it seems as if Harvard's baseball program is more of an afterthought compared to Harvard's football program. (Many times it just means that the dean is more of a football fan than a baseball fan. Soldier's Field was at one time, a pretty formidable stadium in its own right. As you can see here, this ballpark was a pretty sizeable facility of its own. These photographs are from the mid-1950's and this stadium was nearly 5x its current size… about the size of a small Double-A Stadium. It was still a simple structure, with no overhead roofing system but it was a good 25 rows deep encompassing the entire ballfield from 1st around home to 3rd.
