In the Northeast, collegiate football and indoor basketball are the highlighted sports programs because you can charge good money for collegiate football and basketball games in the winter and early spring, so football stadiums with tens of thousands of seats are common place, while very little effort is put into creating any sort of proper stadiums for their NCAA Division I baseball program.
