Our special thanks go out to Fred E. Sagebaum for alerting us to these photographs from the ures are from the World Museum of Mining. We appreciate his work in helping us to represent the ballpark of Butte Montana.
The Union Association would last 4 seasons, until 1914 when the league folded. The Miners would not play in 1915, but did return to the Class B Northwestern League in 1916 to play for 2 seasons, when Aberdeen and Victoria dropped out. By 1918 the league had folded signaling the end of the Miners professional career. In all the Miners played 12 seasons of professional baseball at Columbia Gardens. When Clark Park was built in 1922 closer to downtown, it became the hub of all semi-pro baseball in Butte and signaled the end for Columbia Gardens, which was then demolished.
