Siebert Field has fallen on tough times in recent years. The ballpark has been showing its age and has been slowly falling apart. When the Golden Gophers play here, the team usually has to rope off sections of the stadium where the structural integrity has come into question. Most of the team's home games now take place at the Twins' Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis. Siebert Field is expected to be demolished in 2011, and there is hope that a new ballpark will be built in its place.
