While pro ball has left this facility for now, the Collegiate Summer Leagues have come and taken over... as they usually do. CSL's act just like any minor league system and in actuality... the only real difference is the players don't get paid (as to maintain their NCAA amateur draft status).  This allows CSL's to play in places that aren't economically feasible for professional teams and allow many of the country's greatest yet abandoned small market ballparks to become active again. To the naked eye and the local baseball fan, there really is no noticeable difference otherwise between a professional independent or rookie league Minor League team and a CSL team in the way the league is run.
