Eastlake Ohio’s Classic Park is part of a new trend in ballpark location. Slowly but surely, today's stadia is coming closer and closer to the radius of jurisdiction of its parent club. If you don’t know what that is… let me explain. Every baseball team has a radius around it… a big circle that no other baseball teams (Major or Minor League) can come into. This radius keeps the main franchise from having other ballparks competing for the same market. (Clubs like the Chicago Cubs/White Sox and the Dodgers/Angels all came well before the "radial jurisdiction" rules began).
