After the Midwest League pulled out of Madison Wisconsin, the Northwoods Collegiate Summer League took over Warner Park. Warner Park had drawn a total of 69,000 fans to MADison Hatters games in 1994 before the Northwoods League took over the abandoned ballpark. The summer collegiate system then sunk tons of money into party decks and promotion and within a few years, they were easily outdrawing almost every Midwest League team (and they only play two months out of the year!)
