(Photographs Courtesy of Mike Daddario presented by Ed Baker)

Sadly, the Piedmont League was stuggling as well and would also fold after the 1955 season. Without a league left to play in, Sunbury left professional baseball for good in 1955. Beautiful Sunbury Memorial Stadium was demolished and is now the Weis Markets on North 4th Street. Our special thanks to Ed Baker for finding these great photographs for us and to Mike Daddario for such a good photo of the stadium. We desperately need more photographs however, so if you have any you'ld like to contribute, or have photos of any other now demolished ballpark... please do let us know! Email us at digital@digitalballparks.com and for Sunbury photographs you can also contact Ed Baker at ebaker@ptdprolog.net
