Because of its bullpens, Right Field curves into the stadium away from the hitter, which has probably removed at least another 2 dozen shots from the inconsolable Mets former sluggers turned singles hitters. The Phillies have certainly learned how to hit into the edge of that bullpen area, but the Mets have yet to figure it out. While obviously contrived, the "notch" does add a unique element to the ballpark. Despite causing homers to drop at an alarming rate, it does add an exciting dimension.
