There was not much left of the old Shulthis Stadium when these photos were taken in 2009. The grandstand was crumbling. The park was renamed Emmot Field with little or no fanfare of the fact that this was once the great Shuthis Stadium... home to the New York Yankees Class D KOM League franchise that would produce one of the greatest players ever to wear a Yankees uniform. Shulthis Stadium was forgotten and just a relic of a once great moment in all of sports history. It may very well have been the home of the first "Night Game" ever in professional baseball as well. For a baseball park with such a storied history... it was a sad day to see the stadium in this condition as it was just a matter of time before it was condemned and ready for the wrecking ball.
