In 1947, the Brooklyn Dodgers pulled their KOM League franchise out of Miami and moved them into Ponca City's Conoco Park. Miami was unable to fill that void with another affiliate. They did however remain in the league, albeit under a new name. The Blues were no more and the team was now registered as the Miami Owls. They would play under the "Owls" moniker for 3 years, all as a co-op team.
