The first team to call this home, was the Miami Blues in 1946. The Blues belonged to the Brooklyn Dodgers farm system, and were a pretty good team going 69-54 on the season. The team's star was Newt Keithley, who never made the majors but did bat .346 with 25 doubles and 10 triples. The star pitcher was Steve Jordan who went 16-5 with a 3.24 ERA. Together this duo helped lead the Blues to the playoffs where they promptly lost to Iola in the first round.
