The Tigers had a fantastic farm system and brought with them many big name rookies. During the 1967 season alone, 5 great pitchers would play for the MudHens… Dick Drago, Mike Marshall, John Hiller, Jim Rooker and Pat Dobson. Together, these 5 pitchers would combine to pitch a total of almost 60 years in Major League Baseball's Service. Toledo would finish the season in first place, and run away with the International League's Governor's cup after beating Columbus for the IL Championship.
