The 2004 season made 2003 look just about stellar. The team floundered in every direction and went through a long list of talent (if you could call it that) in a roster that shouted instability. 37 different pitchers would take the mound for the team and an incredible 80 different players wore a Mid-Missouri Mavericks uniform for the 2004 season. The team featured former St. Louis Cardinals slugger Jack Clark as Manager and Pete LaCock as hitting coach. That lasted all of 30 games before Clark was fired after the Mavericks produced an almost unfathomable 4-26 record (.133). LaCock wasn't far behind.
