Mike Robertson who hit .314 in 1999 returned to the Rascals in 2000 and was simply awe-inspiring. Hitting 19 2Bs and 10 HRs, Robertson would finish his Frontier League season with a 30 game hitting streak batting .401, before his exploits caused the Boston Red Sox to come in and sign Robertson to a contract. His final OPS in 227 plate appearances was 1.120. Brian Fuess was also excellent with 14 2Bs, 12 HRs, 70 RBIs and a .327 batting average while Ryan Moore batted .319 with 9 HRs and Travis Dawson batted .295 while swiping 35 bases. While all this hitting was certainly impressive, what was even more important was the pitching which completely turned around from the previous season.
