While we're sure this made Howie Minas a very proud "papa", I don't think that he ever envisioned that his little cornfield ballpark would ever become home to a professional independent minor league baseball team. In 1998 however, due to some serious miscalculations on time and budget in the construction of a new ballpark in nearby Crestwood, little Howie Minas Field was pressed into a whole 'nother ballgame.
