With two attempts at minor league baseball behind them, a third came knocking before
the next season began. Out of the ashes of the Mid-America League, a new stronger
league would form... the Heartland League. The Heartland League wasn't as
regionally based, and had ballclubs located throughout West Virginia, Tennessee,
Ohio, Pennsylvania and of course... Indiana. Two teams from the 4 team Mid-America
League would become the base of the Heartland League... the Anderson Lawmen,
and the Lafayette Leopards. |
