The first thing you notice about Tradition Field is its trademark cantilevered roof. In many ways its design is very similar to Al Lang Stadium, where the NY Mets spent their first 25 years. Though the roof is on such a steep angle, that i'm not really sure how much protection it provides. It may very well be for aesthetic purposes only, but if that's the case, that's not such a bad thing. It does make for an odd sort of looking ballpark, and anything different or unique is always good.
