Just 11 years after the Washington Senators moved to Minnesota, only to be replaced by an all new franchise... the Senators announced that they were moving again in 1971. Just like in 1960, the Senators announced that they had been offered too good of a deal, not to move. In 1972, the Washington Senators became the Texas Rangers. One would think that the new Rangers would want to start anew with an all new camp and an all new Minor League system. Nope. The new Rangers announced that they were more than happy with this place.
