Jackie Robinson Ballpark
(aka City Island BallPark)
Home of the Daytona Cubs (Single-A)
Former Home of the Daytona Admirals, Islanders and Astros
Former Spring Training Home of the Expos, Dodgers, Cardinals, Orioles
There is some great debate about exactly how old Jackie Robinson Ballpark is. Most consider this built 1940 though it originally opened in 1914. We haven't been able to track down enough photographs of before 1940 to say for sure so we'll stay under the general 1940 consensus. Because of this we will just give you a brief history of what came before and then we'll get into full details after 1940. Either way, this is one of the most historical ballparks in all of North America and one that continues to host professional Single-A baseball today.
