Bringhurst Field has served so many different types of professional baseball leagues… both Affiliated Minor League and more recently, independent minor league ball… that the history is perhaps too much for this website to cover. We will do our best however in capturing what this wooden beauty has brought to the world and how it served some of the greatest teams and players and even a future Hall of Famer. Bringhurst Field was built in 1932 to replace City Park Diamond… a former Spring Training baseball park that was also home to the Cotton States League. When this ballpark debuted in 1934 as a professional stadium however, it would be to one of the greatest leagues of all time… the Evangeline League.
