Lamar University’s Cardinals are part of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference, which features Sam Houston State, Texas State, Trinity, UT-Arlington, Arkansas State, McNeese State, UT-San Antonio (who play at the Digitalballparks shot Nelson Wolfe Stadium), Nicholas State and Louisiana-Monroe (who play at the Digitalballparks shot ULM Warhawks Park). Lamar picked up their 3rd Southland Conference championship in 2010, after winning titles in 2002 and 2004. Their well chronicled winning ways are causing Lamar University to be at the forefront of the amateur draft as the number of picks coming from Lamar’s roster, have increased tremendously in recent years.
