"Braves Field" was indeed a Boston Braves affiliate as Ambrose McConnell moved the struggling Auburn Bouleys from old "Falcon Park I" to this ballpark for the 1939 season, picking up their new Boston umbrella along the way. The Class C Can-Am League featured several famed ballparks including Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam NY, Glovers Park in Gloversville-Johnson NY, Colonels Park in Rome NY, Martin Park in Ogdensburg NY, Otis Park in Oswego NY, The Cornwall Athletic Grounds in Cornwall Ontario and finally the massive Lansdowne Stadium… home to both professional the Canadian Football League and the Class C Ottawa Senators. *Gord Brown SABR
