Besides... the first base grandstand is certainly large enough to accomodate more than enough fans. The Holyoke Millers turned this odd ballpark from 1937 into a professional facility. Attempts by the Pittsfield Mets to revive it fell flat, but the New England Collegiate Baseball League came to the rescue and gave the ballpark it's pattented NECBL makeover. Now a fine place to watch a ballgame, the Holyoke Giants have returned quality baseball back to the Springfield area.
