Many of the stadia built during the early 1980's for the Eastern League was deemed unfit for Double-A baseball in the 1990's (and indeed it was). Ballparks such as New Britain's Beehive Field, Glens Falls' East Field, Canton-Akron's Thurman Munson Stadium and Albany's Heritage Park, were all built from aluminum. Each had a temporary almost High School grandstand feel. The new era of Minor League baseball was about to begin.
