The White Sox left after 8 total seasons and were replaced by a 4 year PDC with the Minnesota Twins. Randy Bass, Willie Norwood and Steve Braun were the standout players for the Twins during this era. They finished in 1st in 1973 but lost the playoffs. The Rangers came in for one season in 1975 and were led on the field by OF Bobby Thompson and 2B Brian Doyle. It was in 1976 when the New York Mets moved their High Single-A out of Visalia that Lynchburg finally signed its next long term PDC, as the Lynchburg Mets came to City Stadium for 12 years.
