The Riverpoint Royals weren't the worst team in the league. The Pittsfield Dukes,
playing at Dan Duquette's baseball academy in Hillsdale was. The Dukes however
had arranged to take over historic Wahconah Park in Pittsfield... used only the
previous seasons by the Houston Astros and NY Mets as a Single-A facility. The
Riverpoint Royals were the odd men out, and West Warwick said goodbye to the
NECBL for the second and probably last time. |
