The Cubs would move their spring operations here that spring and spend 14 spring seasons at Mesa's Rendezvous Park. Mesa would be a place the Cubs would come back to again and again over the course of several stadiums... and in their 15 years here at Rendezvous, this little ballpark saw many future superstars and hall of famers break camp. This included a 22 year old by the name of Ernie Banks who would train here for 13 years before going on to become a Hall of Famer. Richie Ashburn would also train here in the early 1960's as well as Lou Brock, Ralph Kiner, Ron Santo and Billy Williams, for a total of 6 future Hall of Famers who called Rendezvous Park their spring Cubbie home.
