The combination of the two was strong enough to take Geneva to the playoffs, where they easily beat Brewton 3 games to 1. Greenville was next, and again Geneva was strong enough to take the ASL title in only their first season. When the Red Sox pulled out in 1947 and Geneva went co-op, they immediately sunk to the bottom of the league with a 49-90 record (.353) 41 games out of 1st place! Their attendance of 35k was also the worst. Geneva was almost as miserable in 1948 as they finished 2nd to last with a 54-72 record (.429), 30 games out of 1st place. Attendance was 36,700.
