Built in 1999, TD Bank Ballpark brings professional baseball back to the area for the first time since the New Brunswick Hubs played in the Colonial League over 50 years earlier. It was a long time in coming but the Patriots are the new star in town. It is hard to believe that there hasn't been a professional team representing the Somerset County area since 1948. Luckily not only are the Patriots a step up from the Hubs in terms of talent... they also don't have to play in New Brunswick's old "Memorial Football Stadium" the way the Class D Hubs did. This I think we'll agree is much nicer...
