After spending another season without baseball, Wytheville came back strong in 1957. They affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals, and played as the Wytheville Cardinals for 3 seasons. In 1960 they signed on with the Washington Senators. They were only able to play for the Senators for one season, as the parent club moved to Minnesota to become the Twins. The Twins took this affiliation with them, & the Wytheville Twins played another 3 seasons, from 1961-1963. In 1964, the Kansas City A's took this team over, before the new Washington Senators, took the team back in 1965.
