The big star of the 1981 team was Jose Rijo. The future Cincinnati Reds ace put up an 8-4 record (2.50). Rijo would go on to have an awesome run in the Majors of 6 straight seasons with an ERA under 3.00. Eric Plunk joined Rijo in the rotation. Plunk (6-3, 4.64) would go on to have a fine career, with 14 seasons in the Major Leagues. The rotation was rounded out by Jim Corsi (0-2, 2.90), a 10 year future MLB veteran. It wasn't just about the pitching however as Dan Pasqua was the monster at the plate batting .301 with 10 doubles and 16 HR. Pasqua would play 10 seasons for the White Sox & Yankees. He was joined by Phil Lombardi (.250, 8 2B) & future Philly Tom Barrett (5 2B, .364).
