Tucked within the foothills of the Appalachian region stood a little ballpark named
Paul G. Fyffe Field (also known as Central Park). This stadium was the home
to Rookie Level Appy League ball for 7 years, and during that time produced an
amazing number of future impact players. Consider that on any Rookie level team,
it is very possible that not a single player on the roster will ever see a Major
League game... This little ballpark produced fantastic talent year after year.
It is not surprising that they would be on the top of their standings every
season. It is surprising however, how bad the attendance was... |
