By 1939 the Rainiers had finished in first place, this time winning 101 games, but again lost in the PCL Playoffs. This was just a trial as bigger things were to come. By 1940 the Rainiers had gotten their act together and won a monstrous 112 games during the regular season. They would plow through the playoffs and then defeat the Los Angeles Angels to win their first PCL Championship. The Rainiers continued to dominate in 1941, winning 104 games and capturing 1st place yet again. A 7th and deciding game would again go to the Seattle Rainiers who took their 2nd straight PCL title. As the war came to the U.S., the Rainiers won another 96 games. In the Championship series they found their old nemesis, the Los Angeles Angels looking to exact revenge for losing to the Rainiers two seasons earlier. It would take 6 games before  the Rainiers would come out victorious. They had pulled the first "3-peat" ever in the Pacific Coast League. These were the glory days of Sicks Stadium which would never be forgotten and never to again return...
