In 1992, Baltimore became the first to step away from the multi-purpose stadium design and focused its sights instead on building a ballpark specifically… and only... for baseball. With that vision in mind, a ballpark was to be commissioned by HOK Sport (Populous) that would utilize the skyline of the city of Baltimore along with the famed Camden Yards warehouse to create something quite spectacular. A ballpark which looked towards the future… by remembering its past.
