Hall of Famer Joe McCarthy was the big name for Toledo spending the final season at Armory Park and then coming to Swayne for the 1910-1913 seasons. By 1910, Swayne Field's first full season... the team was drawing over 165,000 fans... quite a lot for a Minor League team during this era. The 1910 team was led by “Piano Legs” Hickman who hit .317 in 598 at-bats, leading MudHens with 25 doubles, 15 triples, and 4 home runs. Southpaw Earl Yingling went 22-9. *stats from
