Baseball's Buffalo Bisons would continue to play throughout the war over at
Offerman Stadium as the Triple-A (Class AA) International League was a high enough ranking facility to be one of the few Minor League systems to continue on throughout the WWII era. This facility however... (Civic Stadium) would go dark to any sort of professional play for the next 5 years. When professional football finally did resume here in 1946... it would be as home to a new franchise which would change the landscape of this city's professional sports forever.
