The Iowa Oaks would jump over to the White Sox organization for 2 seasons from 1973-1974 before going to the Houston Astros in 1975. For some reason, that didn't stick and the Oaks went back to Chicago for the 1976-1980 seasons. Under the White Sox umbrella, the Oaks produced future Hall of Famer Goose Gossage (5-4, 3.68), Bucky Dent (.295), Brian Downing (.246), LaMarr Johnson (.301, 20 HR), Steve Trout (6-9), Rusty Kuntz (.294, 15 HR) and Harold Baines (.298, 25 2B, 22 HR). The White Sox Triple-A moved to Denver in 1981.
