Each of these 3 1800's ballparks would last well into the 1950's serving "Triple-A" (then known as Class A) American Association baseball… though they would all need continual maintenance due to fires & decaying wood. In 1903, the American Association became an official charter member of Minor League Baseball… however their original intention was to become a 3rd Major League system. The triad of classic ballparks would be a great selling point but in the end the A.A. would settle on being the top tier Minor League system.
